Teachers

Nathan Busenitz

Nathan Busenitz was unanimously affirmed as pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church on August 20, 2026. He began teaching at The Master’s University in 2000 and served as a full-time member of the pastoral staff at Grace Community Church from 2003 to 2009. In 2008, he began teaching historical theology at The Master’s Seminary and became a full-time faculty member the following year. In 2021, the TMUS Board of Directors appointed him executive vice president of The Master’s Seminary.

For many years, Nathan also co-pastored the Cornerstone Fellowship, where he taught, counseled, and discipled members of the Grace Church family. He later served as interim pastor of Grace Church before being appointed pastor-teacher.

Nathan and his wife, Beth, have four adult children, and two granddaughters.

Mark Zhakevich

Mark grew up in Russia until 1990, when his family immigrated to Los Angeles and joined Grace Community Church. Having grown up at Grace, it was natural for him to prepare for ministry at The Master's Seminary, where he earned his M.Div. and Th.M. degrees. In 2017, Mark earned his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh. Mark joined the church staff in 2007 and currently serves in church administration and leads the young professionals ministry, Foundation. Mark and his wife, Vera, were married in 2026.

Chris Hamilton

Chris grew up at Grace Community Church and, for most of his life, he has been part of youth ministry—either as a student, or serving as volunteer staff in Junior High, High School, and College ministries. He graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1985, and is a practicing CPA in the area of forensic accounting. Chris and his wife, Ann, met in 1986 while both were involved in ministry in Crossroads, and they were married in 1988. Chris and Ann have three grown daughters and three grandchildren.
